At not quite 15 months

Fi is trying to put on her older sisters' ballet shoes, she is holding the ballerina Barbie's arms to make her dance and she loves dancing.
What can I say, I am so moved by her obvious intelligence and girlishness and I am so hurt by it. She is turning into a beautiful little girl.

Beach babes...

  1. Can I ask about why you feel "hurt"? If you don't want to talk about it, that's ok. I love seeing all three girls sitting snuggled up close. They all look like each other- such a beautiful group! I'm also curious, are Fi's sisters also "girly"? Is she picking up on their interests or manifesting her own?

  2. Her sisters are girly girls, but I don't recall either of her sisters portraying such an interest in clothes, headgear and dancing at such a tender age...
It's a bittersweet thing, this interest of hers... Hence the hurting part. All girls dream of being princesses not many become one, but most can buy princess outfits that suit them... We will alter them.

  3. It reminds me of the girl with acon I met in Spain and how her mother told us the story of all her "maids-in-waiting" at school, at the ready to help her button her coat. The is no minimum size requirement to be a princess :)
